As a Breeding Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in horticultural crop cultivation (tomato/eggplant) and practical plant breeding processes, from seed to seed. This role will provide exposure to farm management, seed production, and biotechnology applications in plant breeding.
- Assist in cultivating tomato/eggplant plants and managing farm operations.
- Support plant breeding programs for tomato/eggplant, including selection and hybridization.
- Help in seed management, including harvesting, processing, and quality control.
- Conduct practical biotechnology and plant pathology applications in breeding.
- Maintain accurate records of breeding trials and plant performance.
- Collaborate with the breeding team in research and field activities.
- Active student (S1/D3) majoring in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, or related fields.
- Understanding of basic agricultural science, agronomy, and plant breeding.
- Willing to work outdoors in farm environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented, persistent, and able to work in a team.
- Committed to a 4–6 month internship program.
